I've just finished work on a quick save tool for Dark Souls, since there didn't seem to be any satisfactory solution. It was made so I could practice the BKH run easily, without having to do the entire run each time (as much as I love speedruns, I suck terribly at them).
At it's base, it just copies your current save file into a backup folder and then when you want to load it back - copies back over the current save. As simple as this is, it provides a lot of features that I think would benefit everybody, not just speedrunners, and make life easier. As well as this, it's been designed to be lightweight, so it's not using resources while you play the game.
Features: *Allows saves to be separated into runs, and named for the specific section. *Provides simple file management with a lightweight interface. *Hooks into AutoHotKey to allow in-game hotkeys. *Doesn't hold any weird config files etc. All files it manages, can be manually moved in Windows Explorer. *Makes it easy to have more than 10 characters. *Makes it easy to use saves other people give you. *Makes the BKH practice a hell of a lot easier (this is the key reason it was made).
Anyway, I'd love it if you could try it out and tell me what you think. I'm always happy to answer any questions about it.
